Musical Forests 360
For international partners
A different way of making culture — live art, collective planting and social impact — all structured on a digital platform with a growing map of planted trees and seeds.
A series of outdoor musical storytelling experiences performed by Irina Gruia & Mimi, the travelling violin.
A 45–50 minute outdoor performance of classical violin and narration, where audiences gather to experience live music and storytelling in a natural setting before taking part in a collective tree or seed planting.
Each performance becomes a cultural gesture rooted in landscape, shaped through participatory experiences and connected through a digital system that uses art as a driving force.
Each experience contributes to a growing artistic and environmental legacy, transforming individual performances into a living, evolving project.
The invisible root
The first musical tale
The Invisible Root is the first story in the Musical Forests 360 series.
Narrated by Mimi, the travelling violin, who remembers that it was once a tree, the story invites audiences into a journey through memory, nature and transformation. Live violin performance and storytelling guide the experience until it culminates in a community planting action with the public.
Adaptable to
How the experience works
Outdoor performance in a natural environment

• Planting action as the final moment
• Adaptable to different territories
• Optional talks or educational sessions
Languages available: English, Spanish and Romanian

Digital layer
A digital platform accompanies the project, documenting each planting through a growing map and connecting every experience over time. The system uses art as a driving force, creating a living archive that links culture, landscape and participation.
In a later phase, an e-learning layer will be developed to help share and replicate the Musical Forests 360 model in other territories and contexts.

About
Irina
Irina Gruia is a professional violinist and cultural creator, and a member of the Real Filharmonía de Galicia (Spain).
Alongside her orchestral career, she develops interdisciplinary artistic projects that connect classical music, storytelling and contemporary cultural engagement across different audiences and contexts.
Through Musical Forests 360, Irina creates outdoor musical storytelling experiences together with Mimi, the travelling violin, exploring new ways of bringing music into natural environments — where artistic expression becomes a shared gesture rooted in landscape.
Musical Forests 360 is developed within the legal framework of ConcertArt, and counts on the outreach support of the Spanish Association for Environmental Education (AEEA).

Musical Forests 360 is not only a performance and not only a digital tool.
It is music that remains long after the applause fades, music that makes us more human and leaves behind something tangible: roots.
